Default How Old Style is Your Ballroom?

For those who still do dance ballroom, do you dance a modernised version, jazzed up to include faster music and jazzier beats, or do you still dance the very traditional, 'Come Dancing' style?

I was only ever taught the real old style stuff, but I am sure that having also done Salsa and other of the faster ballroom dances, I would be able to improvise well for a modernised waltz or other similar. Anyone have any experience of this?

Strictly old school. Otherwise it's not really ballroom. And there is something regal about doing it old school.

You've got a point about it being regal. Especially when you are dressed for the part.

That was my ultimate downfall; I can't stand in heels, let alone dance in heels. Oh well. At least I know if I ever have to go to a fancy dance, I can pull it off!

Its just about the ONLY time I wear heals, high ones anyway. And I seriously PAY for it the following day! My legs just weren't built to take the sort of things I had to wear.
